Some people love having their photos taken. That wasn't me growing up. No one looked like me. I didn't fit that mythical idea of classic beauty that society put on women.
I knew that waiting for society to change wasn’t the answer. I decided to create the change I was seeking. It started with celebrating myself.
They say we need to photograph what we know. Since 2016, I have been encouraging women to celebrate themselves with a portrait experience that showcases their natural beauty.
This work is my true calling. When my clients are happy, I am fulfilled knowing I empowered another woman, who will then empower and inspire future generations in her life, too.
